The East Rand Chamber Orchestra is situated in Johannesburg, South Africa, and is available for hiring at music festivals, weddings, banquets, parties, and corporate events throughout the country. With over two decades of event planning experience, we are confident that we can offer you with the appropriate music for your occasion.

We guarantee that your event will be performed and presented to the highest standards. All of our members are seasoned freelance musicians who have graduated from a university or music college with a degree in music and a professional performance diploma. We’ve collaborated with artists from both the pop and classical worlds, including the South Africa Youth Choir, the Ionian Choir, Black Coffee, Maliaka, and Siphokazi.

Along with performing together, all members work as freelance musicians, providing music for television and radio as well as recording studio sessions for albums. This is in addition to freelance work with orchestras and ensembles such as the Johannesburg Symphony Orchestra.

Our selection of music is extensive, ranging from the more traditional chamber music repertoire of Mozart and Haydn right through to contemporary pop songs and jazz classics. Additionally, we are happy to arrange specific pieces of music upon request to help you personalize your special day.
